This Privacy Policy explains how Boring Business Ventures Inc. ("Ice Lang," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website ice-lang.com, our ice vending machines, and our customer communications.
We comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
1. What we collect
We collect only the information you voluntarily give us:
- Partner form submissions. Name, email address, phone / Viber number (optional), property type, property location, estimated foot traffic (optional), and any message you include.
- Consumer waitlist submissions. Email address and area/city.
- Machine transaction data. When you purchase ice at an Ice Lang machine, we record the transaction amount, time, and payment method (QR, GCash, or card). We do not store your card number or personal payment credentials — those stay with your payment provider.
- Hotline and email communications. If you contact us, we keep a record of the conversation so we can respond and improve our service.
- Technical data from this website. Standard access logs (IP address, browser, referrer) retained briefly for security and debugging.
2. Why we collect it
- To respond to partner inquiries and share our pitch deck.
- To notify you when an Ice Lang machine opens in your area (if you joined the waitlist).
- To operate and improve our ice vending machines.
- To comply with applicable laws and protect against fraud.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with trusted third parties who help us operate the business:
- Brevo (brevo.com) — our email marketing and lead-management platform, which stores contact information you submit through our forms.
- Payment processors — for machine transactions (QR, GCash, card networks).
- Legal authorities — only if required by law or a valid court order.
4. How long we keep it
We retain personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above. If you request deletion, we remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.
5. Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your data is collected and used.
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
6. How to exercise your rights
Send an email to privacy@ice-lang.com with your request. Please include the email address you used when you subscribed or submitted a form, so we can locate your record. We will respond within 15 business days.
7. Email opt-out
Every email we send includes an "unsubscribe" link. Clicking it immediately removes you from our mailing list. You can also email privacy@ice-lang.com to unsubscribe.
8. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies — only those necessary for basic functionality (e.g., remembering your FAQ section state). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.
9. Children
Ice Lang is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have received data from a minor, please contact privacy@ice-lang.com and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribers when appropriate.
